| 29 July 2008 | Saturday he was happily united with his new family who drove up from Maryland to meet their new love. We wish Cyrano - the blue star of this crew, easy going and gentle with a constantly wagging tail - all the luck. We hope to hear from Cyrano's family about all of his adventures! (AS) Dr. Ulrike Reinisch arrived early from CT and spent hours observing the dogs, particularly withdrawn Edgar and shivering Charlotte, to see which would benefit the most from her fostering and magical TLC . Charlotte was chosen for a variety of reasons...
Another cheese and treat party as the fosters began to arrive. Charlotte and Edgar (the wall flowers stayed in the background as more people came outside). Edgar began cheek puffing. Anna fitted the nervous trio -Charlotte, Jane, Edgar with lure coursing jackets as anxiety wraps. Anna & Christina prepared the comfy crates crates with clouds of paper towels... Jane turned Lisa's foster agreements into a bed. I am missing them already... Dramatic contrast between the way our precious pups looked in their crates the day they arrived and the day they left... Gloriously groomed, lured by juicy bones and chicken breasts, haloed by Rescue Remedy spray, each happier Hound crated up willingly... Cyrano left for Maryland, Charlotte for Connecticut, Dante, Whitman and Edgar with Lisa to Philly, Frost (Christina/Jules) and Jane (Sue) staying close by on LI... (JA)

| 25 July 2008 | Cyrano is such a mush - a real love !! he is happy - the tail goes and he adores petting and being together. he hits you with his paw and loves to give you nose nibbles. very, very sweet and affectionate!!. he walks wonderfully on the lead and enjoys every moment together. a complete sweetheart!! (LR) ...I felt like Jane Goodall with cheese...Thurs, Edgar was a voyeur and non-participant...Whitman was partying on his own from a distance. Everyone had the happy look except for worried Edgar. By Friday, both boys had joined in the fun... On Friday, Charlotte was romping with the gang but the only one too nervous to partake of the cheese and liver treats...Ironically she had made a pig of herself on Thursday. Jane is adept at finding open run gates and moving the party inside with her siblings.. Everyone "takes food" with manners. (JA)

| 23 July 2008 | Cyrano was so peppy last night - wagging his tail. He followed J out in his run and he was trying to get out of his cage, the little stinker - as it was slightly ajar as I was hanging up his leash and then returning to him (CW) GROOMATHON | ||||
| 22 July 2008 | Cyrano was so excited to see me and when I walked in and sat down with him he laid his head in my lap and wanted to be loved, rolled over and wanted belly rubs. Not thrilled when I left, he tried following me out of the cage but he did not whine. He was very animated and excited to have attention. (JW) All the boys ate their breakfast this morning and charlotte and jane nibbled later on in the day at bit - but everyone loved the chicken, even the girls !!! We had some tails wagging and legs lifted for belly rubs. frost and . Cyrano lets us know that he knows we care by wagging his tail !! (LR) | ||||
